Sequel to Outbound Flight?

So I just finished reading the Outbound Flight novel, and it really concludes with a lot of loose ends (Thrawn taken away by the Chiss, Thrass and the Jedi girl taking the Outbound Flight ship to some random planet, Car'das returning to the Republic etc), and I'm wondering if the events in this book are followed up on in another novel? Do the events of Outbound Flight tie into the Thrawn trilogy at all? Do we find out what happened when Thrawn was taken away by the Chiss after the battle with Outbound Flight?

Yes. Outbound Flight is basically a Thrawn Trilogy prequel.
