Place Windu or Yoda in Ki-Adi-Mundi's situation, what happens? That's my point. Even if the dude is considered in the "upper tier", he doesn't match either of the other Jedi at all.

Jedi operate at a far lower level in the films. Sure, Mace or Yoda would likely have survived, but they wouldn't have been able to blow away all the clones with a gesture like they would in the EU.

Made him out to be so awesome (and most Jedi for that matter).
