So, in a couple of weeks SW: Fallen Order will hit the shelves and we’ll get a lot of info a what a Jedi Padawans like Kal can do. I watched a few gameplays and I have seen him taking on clone squads, monsters and even an AT. Nothing on starkiller’s level, but still pretty impressive for someone who isn’t even a Knight. So makes me wonder how the heck the Jedi lost to the clones in their temple. First of all, it was just one legion (so like 10.000 soldiers? more or less the same number of Jedi in the galaxy) and secondly, they were also playing in an environment which should favored them (corridors etc) and the clones couldn’t even use tanks or any type of artillery and armoires vehicle. Ok there was Anakin, but with Drallig’s and Ti’s support they should have slashed through the waves of clones like butter m, and then gang up on Anakin. Hell, Zett Jukassa was 14 and could take down 5-6 clones, if any Jedi could do that I guess they would have won. Instead in the few shots of the temple after the purge we don’t see so many clones killed, I mean, it looks like any Jedi killed on average 1-2 clones before dying. Lucas should have had Anakin take with him way more legions to make it believable
Because there wasn't nearly 10,000 Jedi at the temple at the time. Presumably, most of the Jedi were off world leaving few Jedi at the temple and most of those there were likely some of the weaker Jedi. Beyond that, I believe the 10,000 number refers to the amount of Jedi around during TPM. By the time we get to RotS those numbers would have been culled.
Not a smart move from the Jedi then, the war was near the end, Dooku killed and Kenobi was about to execute grevious. They knew however that Darth sidious was around and they even had suspects on the chancellor, they should have recalled many more Jedi, leaving the clones to deal with the last separatist strongholds.
doesn't really matter how much stronger or more skilled you are over your opponent, being caught off guard counts for alot and that's exactly how the temple raid was presented especially in the ROTS novel.
Combine that with maybe a cpl hundred Jedi in the temple at the time; same kind of numbers that were wiped out by DROIDS in AOTC and we are told that Clones are far superior to droids, add on top of all that a young highly skilled, freshly unleashed Sith Lord at the helm of the attack, you can start to see why the temple fell as fast as it did
It's almost like the whole thing was poorly thought out and badly written or somethin.
