General question regarding Obi wan and Maul see details

Just thought i will ask a general question and get opinions in this : when Maul found out Obi was alive via holochron with Ezra etc Maul seemed to be shocked Obi was still alive : reckon that Maul and Obi had another duel before hand whereby Maul possibly thought he go the upper hand thinking Obi died etc ? Whats your take on this ? Reckon as well they may show another or more duels between them in the Obi wan show or bad batch etc ?
