The grape and the grain
I find myself at one of those crossroads where I'm going to make a choice that I already know is a bad one.
Tonight I've already drunk 4 cans of lager. Now I'm all out and too over the limit to drive to the off-licence. The only alcohol left in the house is a bottle and a half of red wine.
The old saying goes "don't mix the grape and the grain", but I have no other choice.
Damn.

There's wisdom in those old sayings.
Except that one about a bird in the hand being worth two in the bush or whatever it is. Thats just plain nonsense.
