D@mn, has anyone else spent more $$ this year...

Have you all spent more money this year than last on Christmas? Are prices going up? Man, I am broke. Is this common?

This year I'm spending less on Christmas gifts and still short of cash. Not enough bargains or sales this year.

I have been frantically searching for free shipping/volume deals and that stuff. I got hooked up on my GF's present this year. Diesel Jeans from bluefly at 1/2 off (BIGTIME SAVIOR). Other than that, I had good deals and free shipping from Staples, got killed at the mall. After shopping, I went to hallmark and bought paper/bows/cards/all that crap and ended up spending another 80 bucks. sad SO SAD. Anyway, I think I have doubled my expenses this X-mas other than those few deals I had. What was the most expensive thing you guys have bought so far?
