Well folks, as of today I am an Echo Bay Resort employee. Echo Bay is located at Lake Mead, NV. Yes I am still working at Casablanca Hotel-Casino-Golf-Spa, but I am giving them my one week notice tomorrow. The new job I have found will be a lot better for a guy like me.
My job position is working the Fuel Docks, I will be responsible of fueling the houseboats, emptying out the shitters, parking the boats at the dock, and all around driving the big ass boats.
The pay is only $7.00 an hour, but I get employee housing for just $75 a month with all utilities paid and I get guaranteed overtime each week. I will only be having one day off per week. My brother-in-law works there as houseboat maintenance and he is bringing home $750 every 2 weeks. When you add it all up that is a good deal of money for a single bachelor living by himself and no bills to pay.
The sad thing is, once I get moved in to my new apartment or RV I will not have access to the internet. I would have to drive 30 miles to my parents house just to come on KMC, which is not really a smart thing to do. Once I save up enough money I will get myself a good computer and be able to come visit my friends on here.
So consider this my one to two week notice on KMC...for the time being. I will have to leave you all for awhile. I know it sucks, don't cry, I'll be back. (Damn I sound like the Terminator.)
I get a $450 paycheck tomorrow, and then once I finish work at Casablanca and turn in my uniforms, etc. I will get another paycheck. Once I finish stocking my small home up with the essentials, like clothes, food, dishes, and some other shit, I WILL get myself at least a cheap computer.
