Hi you guyz.
For a R.E. homerwork I need some superstitious things people sometimes do or believe. (black cat from the left/right) and this stuff.
I' already found some things, but we have to find a whole DIN A4 sheet and we're not allowed to use big letters. Maybe someone can give me some more?
If the first butterfly you see in the year is white, you will have good luck all year.
Three butterflies together mean good luck.
If a candle lighted as part of a ceremony blows out, it is a sign that evil spirits are nearby.
If the first calf born during the winter is white, the winter will be a bad one.
If a black cat walks towards you, it brings good fortune, but if it walks away, it takes the good luck with it.
Keep cats away from babies because they "suck the breath" of the child.
A cat onboard a ship is considered to bring luck.
I am not driven by people’ s praise and I am not slowed down by people’ s criticism.
You only live once. But if you live it right, once is enough. Wrong. We only die once, we live every day!
Make poverty history.
I MUST see the end of a movie if i begin watching it.
I never walk on cracks in the pavement.
Here are some fisherman superstitions:
- They cannot say the word "rabbit"
- Women are never allowed aboard boats
