Anyone know a cure for infatuation?

I know the topic in itself isn't very thought provoking. But I was just wondering...I'm not in denial...I know it's infatuation I just want to get rid of it and fast. Mainly because my IQ seems to have been impaired at the moment and I don't want to scare the person away, hopefully we'll just stay friends.

If it helps this is my first year of college so it could be something to do with that. The individual I'm infatuated with is in the same year as me. Actually I think the term hero worship describes the situation far better then infatuation. I don't think I have a confidence problem the person just seems better then me at everything...and it's an appealing trait I guess. Thing is I usually envy people who are better then at stuff but still try and better myself...in this case I don't...I'm just astonished and overjoyed with the fact that the person is better then me in all aspects of life.(Though I'm still trying to better myself) I've been looking for some sort of flaw to exploit...but their flaws are too trivial to hate the person for it. Besides the individual is too much of a nice person to actually hate.

I guess the thing that bugs me is I haven't found a proper talent yet...and this individual just seems to be spewing talent left right and centre. And I believe that at the moment my life is probably less stressful then theirs due to my own superficial advantages which won't be named...and I just feel guilty about it...

In any event does anyone know a cure for Infatuation/Hero Worship?

That's pretty much my only option I guess...I was hoping someone would suggest tranquilizers... stick out tongue

I also seemed to have posted this in the wrong forum...I'll get it moved to the Off Topic Forum...now to find a Mod.

Edit*- Just PM'd a Mod hopefully it'll get moved.

Usually, a good ONS is the perfect cure for infatuation.

"Love is a temporary insanity, easily cured by marriage." Where I'm trying to get with this is beyond me.
