What in the HELL is a....

Cholo? I hope it's an appropriate term for asking. It's from my Myspace profile song from Down aka Kilo called Like a Cholo and they use that word in the song a lot and I am wondering what in the hell it is?

A cholo is term implying a Hispanic male that typically dresses in chinos (khahki pants), a wifebeater sleeveless teeshirt or a flannel shirt with only the top buttoned, a hairnet, or with a bandana around the forehead, usually halfway down over the eyes. Cholos often have black ink tattoos, commonly involving Catholic imagery, or calligraphy messages or family names.

Cholos often drive low riders.

I'm a cholo because I look more of a hispanic with tan skin. If you see however a hispanic with white skin, he is Not a cholo. If you see an asian looking guy who is really hispanic, he is not a cholo either! ON those with Tan skin. And that goes to Hispanics with Black skin color. they are not cholos either.

White skinned hispanic- Gringito
Black skinned hispanic- Moreno
Asian hispanic- Chinito stick out tongue

Tan skin hispanic- Cholo

Clear?
