Did western cosplayers ever realize they look nothing like the Anime characters?

Have they ever look in the mirror? And did they know Japanese not like them?

The reason western games not sell well in Japan is the same reason why western cartoon not sell well in Japan because western games and cartoon characters which made by westerners based on themselves are not cute, while Japanese prefer cuteness and also believe westerners are not cute. Another evidences of this are :
- Japanese prefer to Cosplay Anime/Asian characters and not cartoon/western characters.
- Japanese not choosing any westerners to form the sister group for AKB48 and instead choosing other Asians such as Indonesian and Chinese.
- Dolls, action figures and other figurines that are based on westerners are also not sell well in Japan.
- Etc

Do you preach other truth besides "western cosplayers suck"?

Lol. You realize a small sample size like the pics you posted can prove literally anything, yeah? I think a few of those might be men, btw.

Also, most importantly, who cares? Cosplaying is about doing something you love. It's not a competition.

So, are you a troll, or literally just this interested in bad-mouthing cosplayers?

Japan got blown up by America then has done nothing but sucked western cock in fear of another beating since.

Nagasaki. LOL

This guy has been bitter ever since so he hits back with the mighty 'we win at having better fancy dress people'

Next it'll be 'we have straighter pubic than you westerners'.

Nobody cares.

WORLD WAR 2. LOL.

I actually agree with the TS.

Western cosplayers (at least, most of the time) look nothing like the Anime characters they portray.

Small sample size ftw.

Is this going to devolve into bilateral racism?

Read the first pic by TS.

Now I can only assume that you are a stereotypical Westerner.

Asbestos the asian girls don't look like the fictional characters they are emulating either, at least partly because, due to artistic stylization, no real woman can look like Haruhi, for example. So while the strawman western girl cosplaying as Haruhi is too "fat", the asian girl is similarly far too thin and of course her eyes are not nearly large enough.

As for the asian Tifa cosplayer... Actually they both look asian to me. no expression No joke.

I know a British girl who pulled off Tifa far better than either though.

This is also ignoring the fact that not all characters from Japanese media look the same. I'd like to see an asian man try to pull off Dutch, from Black Lagoon, as seen here:

Want to see someone who can though?

http://th09.deviantart.net/fs70/200...083-d5zei70.jpg

That's also a pretty okay Revy, as done by what I think is a white girl.

What's that? Dutch doesn't count due to actually being western?

All right.

http://fav.me/d4wxnpt

Oh look, a western Haruhi cosplayer. Does she look exactly like Haruhi? Of course not, no living person can, but hey? Unlike the girl in Asbesto's pic, at least she has fairly big eyes. thumb up

On another note: Does anyone really give a shit about this? Really? This is your big beef against westerners? That they don't look like anime characters?

If there is anyone who really measures their people's worth by how well they can physically emulate a ****ing anime character? Normally I'd tell such people to kill themselves, but I am reminded by this people's already prodigious suicide rate, so I probably shouldn't. But really, no one of worth ****ing cares.

Stop being ashamed of your western girls because none of the western girls in the pic I posted who are males.

More and more westerners this days hate their freedom of speech, I mean instead of trying to argue smartly with those who said things they don't like they prefer to run away by calling them as troll.

You make the same mistakes like all other peoples like you who claim things without facts, if Anime characters really not look like Asians then how come Anime fans prefer Asian cosplayers? This is the fact to prove Anime characters based on Asians http://antiwesterncosplayers.blogsp...te-western.html just follow all the method in the link to see the truth.

You also make the same mistake when posting that fail Haruhi cosplayer while claiming it as good cosplayer, nope she is just another failure but since your standard is low you will think failure as successful.

As for who cares about all of this? Millions of westerners cares, I mean just see how many videos and blogs they make to justify they can Cosplay as good as Asians or that they have the right to Cosplay.

I do think there are very, very good asian cosplayers. I think partly the availablility of merchandise plays into this, of course, and in your examples it is always professional or semi-professional photoshoots, with high resolution cameras, high quality lighting and photoshop enhancements vs. what appears to be snapshots taken with cellphone cameras. Additionally make up as it is available in Asian countries is somewhat different from Western makeup (which tends to go for subtlety) and is considerably more intense, which can play into achieving a good cosplaying result.

But even if western cosplayers look worse, why can't they have some fun as well and dress up? Does it harm anyone, in your opinion?

You ask who's hurt by fail western cosplayers? Of course millions of Anime fans especially Japanese. Don't you even know that for most Anime fans Anime is their life? I'm sure you even not know that many Anime fans especially in Japan think certain Anime characters as their boyfriend/girlfriend, some of them in Japan even claim them as their wife/husband.

I know it may sound weird to someone like you who don't understand the fanaticsm but know that those millions peoples are humans and westerners who fail cosplaying the Anime characters have no rights to hurt them, also know that Anime are made for Anime fans and not for cosplayers so those who intent to Cosplay must accept that they can't do whatever they want to the Anime characters especially having fun ruining the characters.
