How to get a family member to quit smoking cigarettes?

Ok, so my sister and brother don't care about themselves, or anyone else, as long as they get to smoke.

(My brother is 17, sister is 18).

It got to the point where ai would get depressed when seeing them smoke, especially after our father and uncle died from drugs.

Which, while not the same, is similar.

I need a surefire way to get them to quit smoking, despite them not caring about anything.

I'm sure if I killed myself, it would change nothing.

Its not stupid or blasphemous to WANT good in the world, its not stupid to try to protest bad and sometimes even harmful thinking.

Its not bad to feel offended by offensive things, it just means you have a heart, it means you care about your fellow man.

And YOU SHOULD care about your fellow man, be they a stranger, or someone close to you.

You SHOULD want to help when they're done, or hurting, physically or emotionally.

If you want to know how bad it actually is, a conversation came up where even if it was my dying wish for them not to smoke, they still would.

As their older brother, I wanna help, I wanna set them on the right path.

I want them to live long cancer-free lives.

And tbh, I really want this horrible feeling in my chest to go away, tearing away at me at the thought of losing one of them to smoking.

I do not care what a single one of you thinks of me, I don't care if you're complete strangers, I don't care what you on KMC have done, or plan to do, all I know is that you are my friends, and there isn't much you could say to make me think otherwise.

This is just something I need advice on.

For some people smoking is the most difficult thing to quit, my cousin tried years to quit and she really wanted to.

You can't make people change, they have to decide for themselves, about the only thing you can do is constantly remind them of the toll it's taking on their life and how it's affecting everyone around them.

You can offer repeatedly to help them quit, even if they say no 99 times you just have to be patient and wait for that 1% chance they say yes.
