What happened to the "theme"
when a suspense moment occured in James Bond (i can remember it in at least 2 films - diamonds are forever + you only live twice)...a theme came on
I wondered what happened to it, who knows it may actually of continued up to a point

I have no idea, I don't even remember any particular theme 
How did it sound like?
btw maybe you can find it at a JB fansite or something, they have audio files you can download there

you mean the "spy-in-danger" theme?
to my knowledge it's still used in the new movies but just not that much anymore.
Thinking of when he is in Swiss, dropping down the window, or Timothy on the explosive thing, etc.
