yes but those characters in the movies/comics/books only get one chance to pull off that 43 kill spree.. while you can just hit reset and do it over and over again until you master it.. for this reason I cant really find any valid "Im better than my character" situations

Wierd thing in Battle for Middle Earth. If you put Legolas, Aragon and Gimli in a battle againts Gandalf they have a good chance of winning yet in the movie their weapons are no match againts Gandalf.
