Sounds like you are lacking some system requirments. Try calling the customer service number to lucas arts. I had the same problem with trying to load KOTOR. I had all the sstem requirments listed on the box, but when i called i was missing somthing else, some minute bullshit. Just call the company and get your answers first hand, rather than theories. It is also good to call the company because if you cannot fix the problem they will send you a sealed copy of the game so you can return it, atleast that is what they did for me with KOTOR.

KOTAR is pretty crappy for that.
I totally out do the system requirements for that game and its worked fine on the highest setting. But once I got to Dantoonie, the framerate went below 10, so i turned everything off to the most basic setting. And again, slowed to a crawl.
Rage is competly right, ask the company from email or tele.

I liked the single-player aspect of Outcast a bit better (it had a better plot and so on) but this one has a much better multiplayer, plus the single player isn't bad. Plus, you get 2 sabers, classic 1 saber, or a duel bladed one; so that's pretty cool.
