Metal Gear Solid - Peace Walker vs Snake Eater.

Both of these games are widely regarded as the absolute best of the whole Metal Gear franchise, but...

Which is better?

DISCUSS!

Peace Walker? Really?

Any way Snake Eater is way better. No comparison here.

This x1000000

Peace Walker was really good, but it doesn't compare to the majority of the main entries.

Peace Walker is widely regarded through-out the entire world as the second best in the series, and yes, there is tons of evidence to back that up.

Most people make the argument that MGS3 has a better story and narrative, while Peace Walker has funner gameplay and more stuff to do.

Plus, Peace Walker is important to MGSV's story.

Snake Eater. Peace Walker has better controls on HD Collection, hundreds of weapons and a gameplay of 80 hours+ if you count the Extra Ops. But MGS3 has better graphics, story, characters, overall gameplay and boss fights. So MGS3 is overall a better game IMO.

...I disagree whole-heartedly on the Gameplay aspect of MGS3.

You're the first I've seen to say that MGS3 has better gameplay.

Peace Walker has the second lowest critical consensus score of the entire series right behind Portable OPs. They are the only entries to not make it above a 90/100. It's not the second best. Or the third, or the fourth. Possibly not even the fifth.

And with how sparce MGSV's story was, it needed some other entry to pick up the slack.

Recently played both.

Snake Eater is much better.

Peacewalker has bad boss fights, all just pretty boring bullet sponge bosses.

The levels are small and copy-pasted.

And then there's the story, which while good in Peacewalker is no where near as incredible as Snake Eater.

So yeah, Snake Eater is substantially better.

Peacewalker was a good game, though. I enjoyed it and it's pretty much required to get the most out of MGSV.

Cause IGN has Peace Walker at 9.5 while Snake Eater is 9.6
