Here's Telltale Games CEO Pete Hawley's full statement:
"It's been an incredibly difficult year for Telltale as we worked to set the company on a new course. Unfortunately, we ran out of time trying to get there. We released some of our best content this year and received a tremendous amount of positive feedback, but ultimately, that did not translate to sales. With a heavy heart, we watch our friends leave today to spread our brand of storytelling across the games industry."
Sucks, was really looking forward to Wolf Among Us season 2 and have always enjoyed the telltall games that I played. Sad to see them go. Walking Dead season 1 is one of the most powerful narratives to ever grace a video game, I will never forget playing that. Luckily skybound games came to the rescue on the final season of the walking dead game, so we'll get to see that get finished at least.
Wasn't a huge fan of the their later games after they started replicating the same style from The Walking Dead game, I like the more older games from them where it was more like the old Point and click games from the 90's.

Was looking forward to their Stranger Things game, but with all the behind the scenes mismanagement that led to this, I have absolutely no sympathy for them (the company/head honchos), only the employees that were working on certain games who got screwed over.
I felt they could of done more with their newer games. It would of been pretty damn awesome if they added some sort of puzzle element to their games. Go full on old school adventure game.
Gender: Male Location: In Luna's mane, chasing STAAARS!
I think Walking Dead's success made TellTale a little too greedy for more high profile licensed material leading up to this. Putting resources into things like a narrative driven Guardians of the Galaxy, Game of Thrones, and Minecraft were probably not the right calls to make.
It's tragic. I was looking forward to Wolf Among Us 2 as well and prayed for the day we see a 2nd Tales from the Borderlands. Knowing that's never gonna happen now really hurts.
The last two episodes of TWD final season will be overseen by Skybound Entertainment, Kirkman's production company. I paid for the full final season of and I want my final two episodes. This has actually been a damn good season and the cliffhanger is killing me.

The only one I really liked was Wolf Among Us, which I finished in a single evening. TWD was alright, and Batman was kind of disappointing and a buggy mess. At least the 360 version was. Textures would often be missing, and random freezing would happen.
