I really would appreciate it if anyone can suggest a great book about Zombies?
I prefer stories were the main characters are just ordinary people, like in Romero's movies. None of those Buffy stuffs.
The only one I know is Danish, I'm afraid, and I'm not all that certain it's ever been translated into English. Anyway, the writer is called Dennis Jürgensen and the Danish title is Kadavermarch ( which of course means Cadaver March, no surprise ) It's about normal people in present day Denmark, so should you manage to find it in English you might like it.
You might try The Rising, by Brian Keene. You can read a review here

Gregory, the book "The Rising" is not exactly Romero-ish. The zombies are intelligent! Still, I am willing to give it a try if you recommend it. Have you read it?
