You Still Have Hope
If you can look at the sunset and smile, then you still have hope.
If you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower, then you still have hope.
If you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly, then you still have hope.
If the smile of a child can still warm your heart, then you still have hope.
If you can see the good in other people, then you still have hope.
If the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep, then you still have hope.
If the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder, then you still have hope.
If the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips, then you still have hope.
If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism, then you still have hope.
If you give people the benefit of a doubt, then you still have hope.
If you still offer your hand in friendship to others that have touched your life, then you still have hope.
If receiving an unexpected card or letter still brings a pleasant surprise, then you still have hope.
If the suffering of others still fills you with pain and frustration, then you still have hope.
If you refuse to let a friendship die, or accept that it must end, then you still have hope.
If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection, then you still have hope.
If you still buy the ornaments, put up the Christmas tree or cook the supper, then you still have hope.
If you can look to the past and smile, then you still have hope.
If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile, you can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase..."yeah...BUT.," then you still have hope.
Hope is such a marvelous thing. It bends, it twists, it sometimes hides, but rarely does it break. It sustains us when nothing else can. It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead, when we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.
Hope puts a smile on our face
when the heart cannot manage.
Hope puts our feet on the path when our eyes cannot see it.
Hope moves us to act
when our souls are confused of the direction.
Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished and nurtured, and something that will refresh us in return.
And it can be found in each of us, and it can bring light into the darkest of places.
Never lose hope !

Today I smiled, and all at once
Things didn't look so bad.
Today I shared with someone else,
A little bit of hope I had.
Today I sang a little song,
And felt my heart grow light.
I walked a happy little mile,
With not a cloud in sight.
Today I worked with what I had,
And longed for nothing more,
And what had seemed like only weeds,
Were flowers at my door.
Today I loved a little more,
And complained a little less.
And in the giving of myself,
I forgot my weariness.
I type my love for you On the computer screen
Never will you truly know Just how much you mean
Some may say it's crazy But I don't really care
They could never understand all that we have shared
All the nights you've spent with me Felt like you were here
Always with an open heart And an open ear
I never had to wonder If you truly care
Because when I turn on my computer your words are always there
When you are sad.....I will dry your tears.
When you are scared.....I will comfort your fears.
When you are worried.....I will give you hope.
When you are confused.....I will help you cope.
And when you are lost.....And can't see the light,
I shall be your beacon.....Shining ever so bright.

This is for the unknowns in the world where ever they might be
This unknown author of this poem just so happens to be me
I wouldnt come in person and read this poem on my part
They say bald heavy-set men dont really have a heart
A rough exterior hides the softness that is centered inside
of this young man typing now, these words i cannot hide
They flow from me freely but the thing folks cannot see
is the unknown poets of the world are people just like me
I wait for nothing and nothing comes and sorrows all i find.
With a foothold on my happiness, now im really in a bind.
The foul stinch of death rolls in and the vultures start to fly.
I take my last breath of fresh air and slowly start to die.
I see a bright light coming in and all who came befor me
who tried to make me into a person they wanted me to be.
They yell out mean obsinities and slander to my face.
I scream for a release from this dreadful gastly place.
I wake up from this nightmare and slowly start to blush.
Reach behind me on the toilet and quickly turn the flush.
Go away bad obsinities and deaths terrible smell.
Go away terrible nothingness that had me in this spell.
I wipe and spray and I have to admit it really does sound silly.
But i'll never again eat a cicken sandwich with side of black hole chili.
I awoke so early at the dawn of the new day,
Hoping the nightmare would just go away,
But the tears started flowing, as they did the night before,
Why did you leave me? What was this for?
I thought I couldn't face another broken day,
I hated the reality that you were taken away,
It's just not fair that this has happened to us,
And it started to scare me that I had lost my trust,
So I looked to the heavens and I asked God "Why"?
Why in the world would a child have to die?
I didn't get an answer that day or the next,
And, I guess looking back; the question was too complex,
It took a while to realise that you weren't really gone,
That as long as I was breathing your spirit would live on,
So life took on a different meaning, I was living for us both,
Two souls inside one body, two spirits and one host.
Now, with every breath I take, I take for me and you,
And with every song I sing, I'm singing it for two,
And there's no doubt in my mind, with the prayers that I have prayed,
That the wings that you are wearing, grow larger every day.
The strength that you are giving me, on my journey here on earth,
Reflects through me, back at you, on your journey of rebirth,
Stand strong by God, you're in good hands, and I'll stand strong as well,
And together we'll journey through these lives, in each other's hearts, parallel.
I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn't fail.
The same four walls and busywork were really more like jail.
I longed so much to do the things I'd never done before,
But stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor.
I said it didn't matter that I wasn't doing much.
I said I didn't care for things like commission checks and such.
I claimed to be so busy with the things inside the zone,
But deep inside I longed for something special of my own.
I couldn't let my life go by just watching others win.
I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin.
I took a step and with new strength I'd never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door.
If you're in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out,
Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt.
A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come true.
Reach for your future with a smile; success is there for you!
