Welcome to the Family *The Godfather theme begins to play...*
Hallo. Erm. I'm siriuswriter. I've been writing over at fanfiction for a while, under the same name, and I finally decided that I'm obsessed enough with PotC to come find a forum, which led me here. So this is my introduction. I felt a little queasy about posting in gargantuan threads where you all know and love each other, and I'm still a landlubber as far as this forum is concerned. It wasn't so hard in mugglenet, there's like a bazillion people there. But you know each other by name. It's a little intimidating.
Any way, this isn't all totally off topic, as I have a fanfic to share, I've posted the first chapter at fanfiction, I'm sort of experimenting with the heroine, and am deathly afraid of her turning into a Mary Sue. I've got crosses draped over my computer, but you never know, that might not be enough. The spirit of Mary Sue-ness might slip past. So, here for your nitpicky inspection, I post a little of "A Clash of Wills." It's a pun, you can laugh. Haha. Dunno if I'm even allowed to do this, but I guess I'll find out if there's suddenly a bloody monkey's head in my private message box.
“Permission to come aboard?”
The Black Pearl had never been in such a situation. She had been approached by a dilapidated fishing boat just near the Bahamas around ten in the morning, which had run up its white flag as soon as it had come within sight.
Now settled beside the Pearl, a coal black man towered over the tiny fishing boat’s mast, and requested permission for one of his “crew members” to come aboard the giant pirate ship.
Lizzie, who was letting Jack sleep off a night of watch, was left to make the decision. She really couldn’t see any harm in it, after all, what dangers could be lurking on such a small boat? The only hiding place was a tiny hut set in the middle of the boat, not big enough for even two people. She glanced over at Mr. Gibbs, who nodded subtly.
Very interesting, I know. The rest is, as I mentioned, at fanfiction. Not that I'm shamlessly plugging myself or anything.

yup, that's me. I love your "What they were really saying" stuff. Makes me laugh so hard I need to be sure there's no liquid within a three feet vicinity of my nose, else it might come spurting out.
