Episode 7: Revenge of the Sith.

First thing's first. The ground rules have to be layed. I never fudge rolls, it go's against my code, but this is a heavy dice system inorder to get the feel of you could die and how things don't always go as planned. (sometimes for the better.)

Each person may put ranks in a skill. You can put as many ranks in any of these skills as you wish. When you use a skill you roll (or rather i roll) a d20+the rank. This check must always make atleast equivalent to 10 versus a conflicting skill rank of the opponent if need be or object or whatever has a fixed reduction number to try and thwart your skill attempt. Though you can try again sometimes.

These are the skills, note: you don't have to take ALL knowledge/craft ranks individualy. What applies to one knowledge or craft rank, applies to all.
http://www.12tomidnight.com/d20modernsrd/SkillsAZ.php

STATS:
There are five stats.
Str-Obviously helps damage of melee attacks and gives you an inniative based off the numver. (For every 2 the damage increases by 1.)

Dex-Increases the chances of an attack missing or working (must make a dc on a d20 of 10+your dex versus thier dex) and makes ranged attacks deal more damage. (For every 2 the damage increases by 1.)
Int-You gain X skill points based off your int. You can also spend a skillpoint to learn a new language. (you automaticaly know your racial language)

Con-Lowers the damage of non-Force powers and for every 2 con gives you a bonus 1hp. (For every 2 con reduce non-force damage by 1.)

Wis-Dicates the level of Force power you are able to cast, helps decrease the threat of Force powers and side effects of the darkside done to you, and helps increase the power of the Force. (Every spell that would say caster/character level replace with wisdom stat.)

You have a starting package of stats of 5d4. You then divide those numbers anyway you choose between the 5 stats but must have atleast 1 point in each stat.

Level:
Your sheets will list a level, you start out at level 1. When you obtain a new level you gain more points for skills and more HP. If Jedi you also gain a new level in Force.

There are 10 classes each unique and special.

Sorry for the long rule haul, that's a reminder for myself mostly but helps you understand why ceartain things happen the way they do. Bassicaly your job is to just tell me what your race/class is, what equipment your getting, what ranks you want in what skill and or a special skill, and that's about it. I'll roll the 5d4 for each character so they can then assign themselves stats.

I came up with this interesting history behind the HK-53 a few minutes ago, and I wanted to type it up before I lost it.

After the Jedi Exile destroyed the HK-50 factory, no HK units other than HK-47 existed for a long time. When HK-47 finally was shut down, the HK units were completely forgotten by the rest of the galaxy. But they didn't stay that way forever.
Around the time of the Empire, a traveling droid repairman stumbled upon an old building that was filled with wrecked droids. Most of them sliced in half by some form of energy, the man could not repair them. Then he found a few he could repair, though only enough to check the droid's programming. He was surprised when he found that it was an assassination droid, a type he had not heard of but once. He tried to fully repair one and succeeded. The droid told him it's name was HK-50, and the man was confused, since he had never heard of the HK type ever.
Trying to improve the droid, he failed twice, then he stumbled upon success and dubbed the new droid the HK-53. The only problem was that when the man had created the new droid, the part of its programming referring to its master became corrupted and the droid had a free will. It grabbed the man's blaster and shot him when he attempted giving it an order.
Taking the man's ship, the HK-53 introduced itself to the galaxy by becoming one of the most successful bounty hunters, almost rivaling Boba Fett. Being the only one of its kind, many people feared it since they knew there would be no way to control a droid as skillful as this one. Now the droid wanders, looking for any new bounties or jobs that it can take to slake its hunger for kills...

Well okay, for one, you don't need to list your force powers, it's assumed you know all those on the cleric spell list.

Secondly, you have 2 skillranks, do you want to use them to gain skill ranks in something or invest in a special skill?

I see now what the problem is, okay, I know I implemented some aspects of d20, but this isn't a d20 system.. that's why you only have a 5 int and 2 ranks to apply to skills and or to buy a special skill. (Which is like a feat, but sense we're not using d20, i thought it best to not use that word.)

Interesting... elements of LotR being used... sounds pretty cool.

Just to let everyone know, I will be using the "meatbag" references that HK-47 is famous for, just to add some amount of comedy into this.

Bio:
Coming from high-gravity worlds caused her to be a giant for the folks of her original planet, even though she was only 4'10''. The normal size of the people from that particular planet were between two and four feet tall. The people of that planet are called Hobbits.

Isengardian longswords are a speciality of Hobbit hand-to-hand combat and collectible all around the galaxy. Note: I use my mechanical craft skill to forge some Isengardian longswords from durasteel rods, using the Force to bend the rod at will.

Note: All Force-using characters can read in the minds of people and do some telekinesis.

After all, lightsabers do 1d12 of damage and have the ability of deflecting blaster shots? Or should the d12 number be modified?
