My game- set during the period the the prequel films, a few months after The Phantom Menace, charts a long-term plot involving an important Jedi investigation amidst the crumbling Republic.

The basic story tells of a once great Jedi Knight named Kuylen, an expert swordfighter and keen-witted thinker and historian. Kuylen is presumed dead after a mission to Hutt space in which he disappears, but it is clear that he did not die, and has fallen to the Dark Side.

Kuylen, from a planet with a deadly military tradition, seeks a new order to the Galaxy and is applying all his power, culture and archaeological knowledge to make this come about. He has gathered and trained the largest group of Dark Siders the Galaxy has seen in a long time- mostly force-sensitives from outside the Republic that Kuylen has coaxed the best he can out of, and taught how to use a sabre. With this group he has put into action his plan. Kuylen knows much of ancient and hidden Sith sites in the Galaxy. He plans to raid these sites and discover the ancient secrets of the dead Sith, and so gain their power. Kuylen is convinced that he can overcome the problems of the Sith- that they always kill each other- with sufficient milittary discipline. He has no love for the Sith's more archaic ways, he only wants their power. Once he and his group has it, he plans to take down the Jedi and rule the Galaxy.

The Jedi, forewarned of such evil by the disturbance in the Force Kuylen's actions are causing, try to stop him. But the Council suspects that chasing down Kuylen is doing more harm than good- for to seek out the Dark Side can be disastrous... Master Kellan Gundark's Jedi team is always under severe pressure to get rsults without too much devastation on the way.

But the Dark Siders do not know the terrible truth- that the Sith are not extinct as they believe, and that the Dark Lord Sidious also seeks the destruction of this upstart who would plunder their ways. The Dark Siders are beset by enemies on all sides.

Episode I- 'Avalar'- picks up the story from the point the Jedi notice Kuylen for the first time. Kuylen has discovered his first Sith site- a thousand year old Sith monastery, part of a heretical Sith cult that tried to codify every law of the Sith. It was destroyed in Civil War by traditionalists who wanted teaching done by word of mouth only. But the archive, containing all sith Secrets, still exists on the ice planet known as Avalar. Avalar is inside a region of space known as the Damagran Confederacy, a 13-world strong part of the Republic, where independant sentiment was strong. To achieve his aims, Kuylen aids Faylar, a Hitler-esque politician who wants control of Damagran, in his bid for independance from the Republic,. He also aids Pelloran, a powerful pirate chief, and bribes him with gold mined from Avalar to attack Damagran shipping and so hasten Damagran's independnance by aggravating the populace. Once he has dug up the old Monastery from the ice, he and his followers would take the archive. But sent to destroy a Republican cruiser sent to deal with the pirates, Kuylen's followrs over-zealously destroy the entire space station it is on, and the Jedi, led by Master Gundark, come to investigate. And Master Gundark has recevied a mysterious vision which alerts her to other things...

On the world of Jaglon Beta, where the pirates and Dark Siders are based, the Jedi discover the Dark Siders, of Kuylen's existence, and their evil plan. At this time, Faylar and Pelloran both betray Kuylen, whom they know would only bring the wrath of the Republic upon them. A large fight results, the pirates are mostly destroyed, and the Dark Siders are chased all the way to Avalar, where there is a showdown. The monastery and archive is destroyed in this fight, but the Dark Siders escape with a set of (encrypted) Sith maps, and a partial set of the tablets from the archive.

Episode II- 'Revenge', is set on Damagran. Whilst Kuylen ventures to Tatooine and Naboo to investigate rumours that a Sith was seen there, he sends his agents to Damagran to kill Faylar for his betrayal. The Dark Siders are seen arriving, and the Jedi sent to stop them- and also to rescue a wayward Jedi named Argentis, once Kuylen's pupil, who has gone missing after leaving a message saying he was going to find and kill his former Master for having betrayed the Order. Revenge is part of the Dark Side, and the Jedi seek to stop both such forms of it.

A Civil War is being fought on Damagran between the pro and anti Republicans but the Jedi are warned not to intevene, though they find help from the pro-faction, who hate Faylar, the leader of the antis. Both sides come to the occupied city of K'rra Chi, where Faylar is holed up in the central palace there. There Faylar plans to buy a vast droid army from a Hutt named Shareth, who has stolen a large part of the Trade Federation army, which was meant to have been dismantled but fell through the system. Also Faylar is hording much of the gold that the Dark Siders mined from Avalar, and with this gold he has put an enormous bounty on the Dark Sider's heads. In this game the players meet deadly bounty hunter Balek, not quite a match for a Jedi but highly dangerous (and unpleasant) in his own right.

Both sides fight through into the palace, and when the droid army is activated another huge fight results. In this fight, Argentis is killed by a returned Kuylen, revealing in his last words to Gundark that he knew that Kuylen was going to fall and and refused to join him, but had not told the Council and so felt relt reponsbile for all this. The Dark Siders kill Faylar, but fail to get the gold, before escaping and fleeing into the Galaxy. The anti-Republican group is broken and Damagran returns to the Republic

Episode III- 'Artifact'- picks up the story three months later. Kuylen now has a new plan, to find the Mausoleum of Demnos, far older than Avalar, where it is said that true believers could learn the ways of the Sith. With the maps from Avalar the Dark Siders can find it, but they are useless without the correct navigational device, a Sith astrolabe. And he knows the one man who still has one, a man named Kir Ascar from Malastare, in fact an ex-Jedi named Mal Sannan who has learnt great powers from a world outside the Republic, though very few know this. The Dark Siders risk a flying visit to Malastare to get what they need.

The Dark Siders are impossible to trace- except by the Sith. Darth Sidious locates Kuylen and, now that he has no Apprentice to send after him, instead tips off the Jedi as to the location- via means of his position of Supreme Chancellor, saying the information has come from 'contacts'. By now the Council is wary of chasing Kuylen, but allows the mission, and Master Gundark and her team sets off again. By now, some of the Jedi are coming under pressure from bounty hunters, as Pelloran, still alive, has taken up the bounty on both the Dark AND Light siders who destroyed his pirates in episode I.

Both sides find themselves manipulated by Ascar, who has little intention of giving uip his Astrolabe, even to Kuylen with whom he has worked before. His sabre-wielding pupils Persis and Majora (his bodyguard and secretary) complicate things greatly with a pointless murder at the sword-fighting dojo they train at- for the Jedi do not know these two wield sabres and blame the murder on the Dark Siders. The Dark Siders (again in Kuylen's absence, who has gone to get some military aid) try to blackmail Ascar by revealing the truth, but to no avail. The Jedi discover what the Dark Siders are trying to do and put much legal pressure on Ascar to give up the Astrolabe to prevent the Dark Siders getting it (and later, convinced the Dark Siders have already used it, to follow them).

In the end, both sides end up putting up a driver for the Malastare Open Pod Race, taking part in a deal with Ascar who, as part lf his gambling business, stands to make a fortune if a new entry wins unexpectedly. In a hard race where bounty hunters take shots at both sides, the Jedi win. The Dark Siders activate their emergency plan, of a raid by a dangerous group of assassins known as the Order of Miramar, to help them seize the Astrolabe. Eventually, a large three-way fight results between the Jedi-led police, the Dark-Sider led Miramar, and Persis' security force, led by himself. In this fight, the Jedu are victorious. The Dark Siders flee empty handed. Majora is killed, but Persis flees with the Astrolabe. Ascar, his true nature revealed to the Jedi, tricks the Jedi and escapes himself, though it is known that he discovered the location of the Mausoluem at the start of the story. The story ends with the Jedi preparing to pursue the Dark Siders as they try and chase down their last hope of finding the Mausoleum.
