It's nothing like Soccer, and the similarities with American football are the ball shape and that you can only tackle the man with the ball. There are no pads or helmets, you cannot throw the ball forward and you have to ground the ball with downward force in the goal area rather than just be in the goal area with the ball. You cannot block or run interferrence, plus many other differences.
