Bud Selig's Legacy

so, how will historians view the commish? let's review some of the things that have happened under his watch:

-- turned a 'blind eye' to steroid abuse in the 90's
-- instituted pro-sports STRONGEST steroid testing policies
-- oversaw the sport as baseball's popularity hit and continues to hit heights it hasn't reached in decades. (maybe at least partially as a RESULT of ignoring the roids while maguire and sosa did their thing . . .?)
-- made the all-star game the determining factor in where the WS is played
-- brought in inter-league play
-- brought in the wild card
-- his war with barry bonds during bonds race for the record

do his screw-ups outweigh the GOOD things he has done for the sport, or has his reign been a positive one overall?

I think his legacy will be known as having mixed results....let me clarify:

I think a lot of people will say he had his moments as both a lousy and good commish, while there will be some at either end of the spectrum.

Did that make sense?

that does make sense and is probably a pretty fair assessment of what will happen.
