He survived countless high-speed races in areas with tremendous obstacles, and in a vehicle which travels in an area where there are no obstacles, he dies.

yep, saw it in our local paper yesterday morning, Couldn't believe it.
at 39 as well. I think the crash was on Saturday morning or evening and not yesterday. Happened not too far away from here.
Wasnt a Rally fan myself but did enjoy his francise Playstation games, great fun.
