All this "best player in the world" business is annoying.
Its a team game and any player without his team is useless.
Guess what? there´s different positions in football (soccer), yep, defenders, wingers, strikers to name a few. And not all players are good in all positions, so if you put Kaka as a central defender he wouldn´t be "the best player" in that sense.
All these armchair experts who listen to the press hype, watch TV replays of step overs, etc and think "derrr wheres my brain, he´s the best player in the world" That the following sequence which shows the player loosing the ball eventually, even though 2 players are waiting free near the goal, is missed.
Wake up and enjoy the whole game, not clips of some player doing some cool attractive tricks.

Yeah good point but he plays more as a winger than a defender.Theres not many that play like him.So really when it come down to the best players they would have to do more on the ball make things happen. you will only get that from midfields or attacks .just look at the player awards most of them go to midfields or attacks. The best players to show you why attacks are the best is Pele, Maradona,Zidane,,Cruyff and Best all these guys played attacking football using skill, speed, shooting, and passing no defenders can do that or show that in a game .

Nah. If shit like pro-wrestling is allowed multiple threads, why isn't the beautiful game? Perhaps change the thread title to correspond with it's subject of debate.
Nobody is saying get rid of debate threads within a sport.
Wrestling has multiple threads cos of multiple federations. Football would have multiple league threads, but we only really have Premier League fans here.
