Kakashi can't copy Gai's Taijutsu with the sharigan Sasuke tried against lee.
it will be a hard fight but like someone mentioned it will go down to luck but i'm saying Gai because.
he's a taijitsui specialist meaning he's phyically better then kakashi inclduing speed, not only that he can read body movements and knows other jitsui, moreover when ''facing itachi'' gai said he has come up ways to combat 'sharigan' so how knows what else he can do to someone who has sharigan.
i see kakashi having a harder time copying gai's taijitsui espiically with that mans speed. it will be all over anyway when gai bored and unlocks his gates

first of all, kakashi and gai have an even score in gai's little games. that doesnt mean theyre even in a fight. considering kakashi's personality, he most likely amuses himself by keeping his score even with gai and letting gai think theyre equal. kakashi is a legendary genius who trained under the 4th. he became a jounin at 13(thats b4 he got his sharingan eye). he's copied well over a thousand techniques. why would anyone think he wouldnt be able to open the nine gates as well. it's not a bloodline limit. sasuske matched lee's speed after seeing it just once (that was when sasuske only had partially activated his eyes) and sasuke wasnt anywhere near where kakashi was at his age. so even if gai can win in a sprint or in a push-up copmetition or some goofy game, he'd last about 30 seconds in a fight with kakashi. kakashi may not be as fast and strong, but fighting kakashi would be similar to when sasuke couldnt move as fast as naruto in their fight. his sharingan would make up for it. gai is just an amusement to kakashi. they are not rivals, gai considers kakashi his rival, but kakashi knows gai is no competition. i personally think kakashi is the best ninja in kanoha. he's well rounded. very smart fighter like shikamaru, very good close range/taijutsu fighter, very good long range too. he's resourceful( a lotta techniques), he's expericed (killed a lotta great ninja), he can do genjutsu, taijutsu, ninjutsu, doujutsu, fuuninjutsu, and prolly kinjutsu. only others in the village who could maybe do all that is maybe jiraya, but not really in the village because he's always travelling.
