what is the differnce of anime and manga

manga = comic books

anime = cartoons (but with a lot more thought and deeper characters)

Anime moves (being animated and all) and has sound.

The other doesn't.

Generally, manga goes a lot farther w/the characters, story and plot than anime though.

Yes, sometimes the anime and the manga are the same up until a certain point, and then they take different paths. Also, anime can end before the manga gets anywhere near the ending.This could be due to lazyness or constant illness of a manga author.(Here's looking at you Togashi)
