Yeah, in the classic X-Men show. We see Jean being taken over by Phoenix.

Anyways, even in the cartoon Dark phoenix is considered a cosmic enity, she feeds on stars, and destroys entire star systems effortlessly, even eternity was keeping a eye on her, they even said if they dont stop her and the dark phoenix completly takes control the whole universe is at stake.

She also defeated that one guy(forgot his name) with the M'Kraan Crystal.
