Is a deity defined by:

1. His own divine abilities/powers,

or

2.The number of life forms that worship it (and how strongly they believe in it)?

I always thought of deity as gods/goddesses

The question of defining the term god is extremely problematic - every sort of theism and every sort of theistic religion seems to have their own definitions.

a being needs to have divine powers before I will consider it to be a deity, wether or not ppl (and the amount there off) believe in it is irrelevant.
