The Dead Shall Rise..!

In cryogenics they freeze the body until they can find a cure for the person frozen. Do you think they will be able to bring the body back to life and if so, will they have a spirit or soul? Will they be the same person as they were, or an empty shell? Would it be a body that would be inhabited by another spirit. Is cryogenics even possible?

I like the sig first of all. Second, I don't believe cryogenics is possible. Once the spark in the brain goes out that's it. I dont' see how they could revive them. You can keep everything preserved yeah, but bringing the brain back online won't happen. And if it could I don't think they'd have any memory whatsoever. But I don't even believe it could happen.

thats true shadow and if it did yay for science

i dont think they could revive them

Well, there is this insect, can't remember it's name, that
can be completely frozen dow to it's very cells, yet come
back alive when un-frozen.

Maybe someone here know's it's name. Type of roach
maybe?

You can also do that with frogs I hear. OH, and gold fish..People freeze them in ice cubes and put them in drinks for parties.

Not possitive about the frogs though.

yeah but these things don't have a higher level of thought. They only have the basic functions of instinct and survival programed into their brains. I don't think a frog or goldfish ponders their existence and if they did .... 😑

they did that freezing thing in the movie, like austin powers and such, but that would be really cool if they learned to bring back their frozen bodies.

hmm when the body dies normally the brains charge is still goin for some time until it finally dissapates. even hair and fingernails continue to grow.
i wonder what happens to that charge when the brain is frozen?

Cryogenics is possible... I dont know about freezing a person for a long time though

Cryogenics has its flaws but its pretty doable, right now there having trouble perfecting the whole freezing process so your organs don't expand and leave a whole in your gut

No I do not think so!They are trying to do that to Walt Disney and I think it is a waste of time. For starters they are trying to play god and we all know it is not going to turn out good by them doing that.JM 🙂

sweeeet sig

They did freeze a rat, he was frozen for some minutes(six I think), and then they brought he back. I think if all biological activities cease, freezing the brain for example(eek), then there will be no possibility to reanimation. If the brain does not have any activity at all, then the frozen "subject" is dead, he cannot be dreaming, or in coma, or anything else. Bringing he back in this state, would be resurrection.

If it ever becomes possible, it will be far into the future...

And anyway, I heard that Walt Disney being frozen was a rumor and not true.

They are clinically dead, do doubt. I have doubt that they can restart the electrical impulses in the brain and sync them.

I doubt it also...There have been recorded problems with brain activity when a patient has been put on a heart machine during operation...The brain misses the pick up of the heart electrical impulses and effects the brain...Many times the patient is never quite the same...Sometimes it takes a long time for them to be themselves again.

I don't think cryogenics is possible with humans, because the extreme changes in temperature would damage the tissue 😬
Fish, insects and reptiles can freeze and then come back, but that's simply because they're cold blooded animals.
I don't know... 😬

They've done it to fish, insects and turtles.

it might be possible, but the brain will be a problem that no one knows about yet. after freezing, circulation and oxygenation are begun, but that doesn't happen for some time - many minutes at least. if the person IS revived, that time without blood to the brain could have caused some damge - ie - serious amnesia or other problems. structurally the body might be all right, but the brain is tough to predict. advancements in nanotech are necessary to ensure a healthy brain upon revival.

and the wood frogs are frozen solid on the outside, but their blood turns into a strange syrup preventing freezing and tissue damage.
