Are there things we don't know? Absolutely. Lots of them. So yes.
But we've identified areas where we don't currently have full knowledge in, scientifically speaking, so the areas of remaining mystery are at least known to us, even if the details aren't. It would only be if we suddenly discovered a multiverse, non-materiality, or something similarly outlandish that the rabbit hole (so to speak) would be dug quite a bit deeper. Until such discoveries, we know the basics of the formation of our universe and the evolution of sentient life and have a decent grasp on physics and chemistry, so the "big" questions of origin and purpose are at least taken care of.
