Seeing as I won the 9th Sig contest (did not find out until now >__> ), I'll make a thread, not to brag, as I'm still wondering why I won >__>.
My GIMP life
I stopped making sigs around 3 years ago as my PC crashed and I lost most of my sigs, all renders, brushes, stock work, etc. I had made quite a few that I liked, but I never uploaded any of those onto a site like PB etc. So I said **** it and stopped.
Decided to start up again for the sig contest.
One of first sigs (around #5 I think) I made before the 'crash'. Didn't blend the head of Tidus very well, and I made it look like there was an eye with veins behind him
Highlight of this sig imo, the triple Gaara. Shoulda made one a different color, maybe represent the two sides of his conscience. Though that version of Gaara just wanted to kill so I unintentionally got it right.
Here's the sig with the border. It's in png format, and really huge, so I won't be able to use border version if I decide to use the sig here. shitsux.
I do that at times too, but sometimes, goddamn does it make a difference. Jpegs blur the crap out of pic with bright colors. Goodluck with your sig making and I'll stop by and check your work.
While I like what I did with the render and the blood (which is a big deal for me >__> ), I don't think the BG fits properly. Guess I just changed my overall view for the sig half-way through.
your signatures are really nice the only thing id say youd need to work on is that you blend too well by that i mean its hard for the ones who didnt make it see what the focal point is. im referring to your last two.
i can kind of see the face at the top of your current but the signature just kinda looks like a mass of colors.
Slightly better quality. It's a .png format, so it appears sharper. The previous one was a jpeg. At the time, I thought posting images had a limit too, which is why I uploaded the jpeg >__>.
Hehe, thanks. Will try to keep that in mind next time.
Mass of colors. That does describe it pretty well . (You're referring to the "No Mercy" sig right?)
