I don't think Wolverine ever truly fought Cyclops seriously (when he was Death, I don't think Cyclops was one of the X-Men he fought). There have been many times of heated arguments between them, some roughhousing, fake fighting ploys (i.e. tricking their opponent that they are not allies), and times when each had conflicting thoughts of whether to help the other or not in a battle.

wouldnt it really depend on how far they are from eachother to begin with? cuz if they are really close wolvie takes this easily....yet if they are far away from each other then cyclops could take this if he really used his optic balsts.

Cyclops has a very good Chance of wining. He should be able to keep Wolverine at bay fairly easily/ Keeping wolverine at bay is what wins the match for cyclops. Wolverine has a top notch healing ability though, but i doubt that, that would matter much if cyclops is pumping out a blast radius of 50 feet. If Wolverine can get in close, just once, then Wolverine has an immediate upper hand.
