Youre right there. Phoenix would murder a full powered binary. Binary can tap into the energy of a white hole and manipulate and generate various energies along the electromagnetic spectrum. However she has never once been shown to be able to draw on all of that energy at once which she would need to do to even be a worthy distraction for the phoenix.

Binary isn't that tough...... most superman types would probably be able to beat her

Binary is potentially the most powerful Earthling (yeah, yeah,
Franklin Richards...equal to Celestials...blah, blah).

But she's still nowhere near a Phoenix level

?

I don't think she's been shown going all out against familiar
heros or villians like Magneto or Thanos or Thor.

Her powers seem to be like Silver Surfer's, including
some cosmic sense, and greater than light speeds.

She apparently created a small rift in spce, or white hole,
inside the Sun to absorb the energies of some bomb that
could have detroyed it. Or so I heard.

That's plenty tough I think.

Maybe not Phoenix level tough, but certainly greater than
what the average super-being on Earth can do.

Agree?

she is tougher than the average superbeing on Marvel earth.... but i wouldn't out her at the top from anything i've seen or heard of her doing.... her main ability seems to be absorbing power from a variety of sources for your basic flight/energy blast/super strength

http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/b/binary.htm

hmmm.... so she's class 100...... still........ i wouldn't say she had the potential to be the most powerful earthling or earth based being

Well, maybe you're right.

But considering he ability to control the electro-magnetic
spectrum, as well as (I read somewhere" gravity as well,
wouldn't you say she was more powerful than Magneto?

i don't know..... they both control aspects of the same power

she has a wider ability but he seems more capable with what he has

she may be able to absorb the power out of Magneto..... but Thor could probably absorb the power out of her... she's too energy based.... not enough physical backup
