Its actually hard to tell Thanos has taken down all the Avengers by Himself in hand to hand combat and Steel with the Entropy Aegis armor took out the whole JLA so this might be tough one.

Yeah i think He did it was when He had first gathered the Infinity Gems but not for the IG it was to make one big gem to kill the stars and the Avengers got on His ship and He kicked there combined asses i think it was Adam Warlock who stoped Him by turning Him to stone but you might wanna look it up to make sure i might be wrong but i do remeber hearing something about Him beating the Avengers.
