Does he have to? Nova blast can have a huge radius.

Yeah, HOPE to hit him. A Nova blast takes it out of Torch, so if he misses he leaves himself open to anything. And Torch doesn't go Nova anyway at the first sign of trouble. embarrasment

It's probably safe to assume that this fight takes place at night otherwise Dracula would be ash before it began.

Well the true Nosferatu apparently was a daywalker as well according to Blade Trinity.
If it's this version,, Johnny is torched!!! (pun intended)
If it's regular version, HR would have a great advantage in the day or night.
