No prep. Hawkman has usual weaponery. His wings are attached by a promethium belt. Cap has his shield. Featureless environment. No outside help.

Captain America will kick his bird a$$, look what deathstroke to him cut of his wings and he wasn't sh** on the ground. Hawkman can't even beat batman, captain america is going fired his feather a$$.

BINGO!
Look what DEATHSTROKE.
Deathstroke is THE supersoldier.
Captain America is just A supersoldier.
Deathstroker is considered a threat from most JLAers cause they know the guy is what Batman is but 20 times better.

EDIT:
Back in topic, I've seen the JLU episode with Hawkman's race reaching the Earth.A race of warriors, born to fight and defend themselves is certainly above an exceptional but still PEAK HUMAN supersoldier.

Hawkman just had his arm nearly cut off withi his own shield. Maybe Cap could do someting similar with his. Regardless, HM is more powerful and has that advanatge going for him.

If you're going by that show(which was excelllent), Batman was kicking multiple Thanagarian a$$es. Cap's a notch above peak human(Batman). They didn't seem that tough.

Bats didnt hand Hawkman his ass recently. In the issue of JLA which i think youre reffering to, brainchild81, Bats kinda sucker punched Carter.

Carter was then gonna get up and Give Bats a 10 minute asswhoopin. Hal came between the two and stopped them.

Actually, he did very well. He had the slight advantage over bats. Then when they switched(which was Bats and Supes idea) Carter took out Supes.
