carnage did manage to do it but since it only lasted for two issues it really didn't amount to much. They blame it on the writer for running out of ideas. Anyway for this battle between cosmic carnage manages to stay around a while & meets sentry then the battle begins. In the comic the battle was just mostly between carnage & surfer until spider-man arrived. We didn't get to see cosimc carnage use all of his powers due to bad writing.
The symbiote did nothing to enhance Surfer's power that we can tell. It only happened for 2 issues, and all it did was briefly make Surfer evil....I doubt the symbiote could actually add anything to Surfer's already considerable power anyway.
Add that to the fact that we still still don't have a definite power level for Sentry and this is a merely speculative fight.
