In his first series which was a mini, The Fantastic Four attempted to stop Minion, now known as Deathshead 2, Ben Grimm engaged him in a one on one fight, but soon discovered how severely he was outmatched, why did this all happen? Minion was trying to assimilate the greatest minds into himself by using his liquid metal arm to directly interface with the victim, so The Thing was basically trying to stop him from killing Reed he couldn't do it alone, actually the combined team couldn't stop him... at any rate so that I don't spoil it for you he hurt the Thing pretty badly if not for the rest of the team he would have killed The Thing, it's not a bad Mini you should shop around for it.
