1) Which one is the better ruler of the seas? (respectively MU's Atlantis and DCU's Atlantis)
2) Which atlantis/sea kingdom is better?
3) Who would win in a fight when both sides amass forces and goes to war? (basically MU's Atlantis vs DCU's Atlantis and assuming they fight and get teleported on a neutral earth's unpopulated ocean) --- with a month's prep and no help from allies that has no direct relations with the kingdoms (JLA, Illuminati, Defenders, etc)
1 - Namor , he has a fair and kind system with his people and personally beats the shit out of those who would do his kingdom wrong.
2-I'm going with Namors again , he has shit-loads of gold which is plated throughout most of his kingdom.
3-Aquaman , it was proven in the crossovers that he can actually control Marvels version of atlantians , much like he controls fish . He makes the army turn on namor....
Not to mention that Naga, user of Atlantean magic with Serpent Crown (also Atlantean) was able to go toe to toe with Strange for a while.
Hell no, Neptune loves Namor. He's like Neptune's favorite child. He's even resurrected him from death at least twice...taking the risk of angering his brother, god of death in process.
1. Ruler of the seas? I'd say their even. Namor's probably the better ruler of Atlantis (mainly due to writers on Aquaman continuosly doing the Exiled King storyline.) But as for the entire seas... Well, the inhabitants of the ocean decided to worship Aquaman instead of the god Poseidon. The entire sea i'd give to Aquaman.
2. Both are great, but the history involved in DCU Atlantis really makes it better for me. If anyones interested they should really read the Atlantis Chronicles by Peter David. Some of his best work IMO.
Namor on all counts..the only thing both kingdoms have in common is that they are conceded to be the largest and most powerful nations in each universe...Namor is boss cuz his subjects would never even think of deposing him..its only been a few b.itchmade usurpers along the way who has tried to take his throne...but aquaman has lost his kingdom three times by my count(that is including sub diego) i remember after the whole thing where Atlantis was sent into the past and tthey were there for 15 years enslaved b4 the JLa found a way to reach them
--skip ahead....his subjects blamed him, and actually showed up to the watchtower to arrest him, where they carted him off to put him on trial, then some time later he was reinstated as monarch,,only to be deposed again then he lost sub diego too...so nobody in thier right mind would even dream of stepping to Namor like that..they see him as nothing short of a god
Half right. His subjects were actually being influenced by the sorcerer Hagen. Alot of Atlantis was. And Aquaman still hasn't been re-instated as Monarch of Atlantis since then. They offered him his King spot back, but he refused.
As for Sub Diego, Aquaman's never considered himself it's King. Only it's protecter. And he never "lost" that as far as we know. Last we saw the surviving people of Poseidonis were moving into Sub Diego after Spectre destroyed their home. Aquaman was still there and still it's protecter.
Skip to One Year Later and it's still unclear what the fate of Sub Diego is.
That's the thing though. Namor has never had to be brought back from obscurity like Aquaman did, because Namor has always been one of the coolest in Marvel. He leveled the Hulk for God's sake! Also, between the two, Namor is the original.
1. It's not like the entire sea doesn't worship Namor either. Hell, they even answer to his voice: http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/52...rfeat1309ka.gif
I don't think the animals even realize that there is a Neptune/Poseidon in Marvel Universe but they instinctively answer Namor's command. He even understand's their language, but I guess Aquaman does too.
