GL's, Epoch is nothing impressive, has no combat feats other than getting beat by Infinity Gauntlet/Thanos. Doesn't have mastery of it's own powers, no cosmic awereness though it is deemed the guardian of the ability, can fly, change appearance and communicate with telepathy? You'll need more than that to beat 7200 quick thinking GLs, especially when the bio you gave seems to speak of it as slow-minded as well, requiring lengths of time to forumlate answers to questions.

The whole "family" were a bunch of losers. Eon couldn't/wouldn't defend himself from the Presence (a D-Lister villain). Era ran from an exhausted Starhawk (mentioned on panel) and out of practice (for 1000 years!) Kismet. They're just full of fail.
