Lucifer Morningstar VS Jesus Christ

Vertigo comics Lucifer Morning star, vs the same Jesus Christ that fought those Greek Gods in that old scan of that Conservative bullshit comic book....

Who takes this ?!?!??!

Use feats, and knowledge of both characters...

If the jesus was portrayed as he is in the bible. then Jesus easily. jesus is god in flesh with all the same power as God since he is god.

Uh oh....here we go again....I am talking about the Comic book Jesus Christ

I think this would be an interesting match it if ever happened....

And even real life Jesus didn't perform the SAME feats Lucifer Morningstar did....

Yes but this is very touche. Your touching on a character that is loosely based on a belief system. Many would find it kinda offensive.

????

Perhaps those closeminded, ignorant individuals among us.

Otherwise, we can see that two characters that simply share the same name are not necessarily the same person.

This has nothing to do with Biblical Jesus. This has nothing to do with Judeo-christianity. This has everything to do with comics.

No necessarily. They more or less are with changes made for a comic book. If I'm not mistaken wasn't their a big situation with this issue when a magazine wrote a satire of Muhammed that infuriated many Muslim's.

That is because it is against the holy quran to make visual depictions of the Prophet muhammad. There is no such stipulation in christianity; hence, we can have pictures of Jesus, and mini-statuettes of him hanging around our necks.

Besides that, though, this has NOTHING to do with the biblical Jesus, guys! If it upsets you that much, call him Jimmy Carter, and leave his powers the same, and then pit him against Lucifer. I don't see why everyone is so up-in-arms.

No one complains about Egyptian gods on these forums....yet Horus was born of a virgin on the 25th of December, in a manger, which was atteneded by three wise men. He was a child teacher in the temple, and was baptized at the age of 30. He was Baptized by Anup the Baptizer, the 'translation' of anup comes to "John." Horus had 12 disciples, performed miracles(including walking on water and even raised the man named El-Azar-Us from the dead. ) Horus was transfigured on the Mount, crucified, buried, and ressurected. He was known as "the way," "The truth," "the light," "the messiah," "God's Annointed Son," "the son of man," "the good shepherd," "the lamb of god," "the word," and so on. His own epithet was "Iusa the everbecoming son of the father."

Anything ring some bells? If everyone begins to be offended about this piddly little topic, I think my personal moral quandries will come out, and I will start voicing how much all these other topics offend me, I simply find any topic dealing with any sort of mythology or pantheon offensive. Be those pantheon/myths be Norse, Greek, Christian, Egyptian, Hindu, or Islamic or otherwise.

Haha! I really want to see the scans. I remember seeing the cover for some of the "God" comicbooks, when he was storming in on a poker game with Hitler and a KKK guy to save Jesus. Hilarious.
