Which when that guy used against Rachel... she managed to take some of its power away from the blade... The wielder stated the blade felt weaker... and she said because the power belonged to her so she took some of it....

Well the way i understood it, all of the power is in the blade itself... after the original person wielded the blade.. .only his descendents could wield it... so... the blade itself is whats powerful (like excalibur) and only a true descendent could wield it.
