here's the idea using the city of heroes/villains archtype sets create a team of 5 heroes and 5 villains (earth level only please) here's a link with some info on the archtypes only use the 5 original hero archtypes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_o...ture_Archetypes
if you want you can compete to see who can slap together the best teams
for example
hero team:
cyclops- blaster
marvel girl- controller
dr strange- defender
thing- tanker
black panther- scrapper
I'm going to assume "earth level" meaning the person is
1. from earth
2. would not be able to survive in space under their own power.
Therefore my team is
Blaster - Havok
Tank - World War Hulk
Controller - Emma Frost White Queen
Scrapper - Captain America
Defender - Clea
BTW for the Hulk/Havok combo. There was a comic way back where xfactof fought professor hulk. In it havoks powers increased, because he stated that gamma rays given off by hulk increased his power. Therefore i figure as a blaster, next to an unlimited supply of gamma rays... He'd be stronger than cyclops.

"in some cases because the writer knows that Character A will dominate Character B easily and refuses to allow this to happen for the sake of the story."
i forgot hulk doesn't have to breathe when i made it... i wasn't thinking about the getting shot off to space.. and the return to earth... and ... well all the other occurences proving he doesn't have to breathe. :P
