Enraged, Bloodlusted Magneto versus the Mighty Thor

In a strange occurrence of events, Wanda was killed while fighting anti-mutant forces. This drove Magneto to complete rage and madness, he flew up to a satellite in space and activated all the world's electronic weaponry (satellite beams, destroyers, missiles, armed jets, sentinels, and even NUCLEAR weapons) upon Earth itself. In the weeks of devastation to follow, termed by some as 'Age of Magneto', 98% of all living creatures were killed, humans and mutants alike. The surviving 2% are all afflicted with severe radiation poisoning and have mutated into horrible, unimaginable creatures.

Only one being stands unaffected, physically. The might god of thunder, Thor, has witnessed his friends fall by his side, but helpless to do anything.

Thor finally tracks Magneto's location and embarks on a final confrontation with the bloodlusted Magneto!

Who shall prevail?

Can't Thor like absorb way more Energy than Mags can dish out? I think I have read some stories where THor was absorbing or Redirecting Galaxy destroying blast. I know that is Thor at his highest, But Mags at his highest can still only Threaten ONE world.

Thor kills Magneto in his sleep. This is no contest.

Actually Thor at his best, absorbed a blast that would have destroyed a 5th of the universe. wink

Thor wins. Magneto can't even move or destroy one Solar System.

when did that become a requirement for defeating Thor?

If that is, then no one under Galactus level stands a chance!

At the hieght of thier powers ( blood Lusted) meaning the very most powerful versions, Mags wouldneed that amount of power. That is what Blood lusted means if I'm correct. Your very very best.

Thor has far better feats and when using his hammer to it's full potential, he shouldn't lose to Magneto. Thor's hammer has a space warping enchantment on it, so it can go through force fields (Masterson Thor did it to Kang). I think Magneto's finished.

That F&*&K*N BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A universe is comprised of billions of stars, even 1/5 would be millions of stars.

A blast that could destroy 1/5th of a universe would mean it would take out millions of stars, something even Galactus shouldn't be able to withstand.

If you believe Thor could absorb something like that, than I give up.

That was PIS.

Also, Magneto cannot even threaten the planet without some kind of artificial enhancement boosting his powers or some other force severely altering the condition of the EM fields prior to him attacking it.

Thor lifted the Midgard Serpent which can wrap around a planet. There was another issue where he, Hulk and Drax hit together with enough force to destroy a small planet in a battle against Thanos with IG. We all know that Thor was the one who brought most of the muscle in that fight as he is much stronger than either Hulk or Drax. I don't care what Hulk people say.

Magneto in the comics lost credibility as a villain years ago to me. He has been pitted against characters well above his power class on several occassions and these characters are never given the full measure of their power in fights against him. He has never demonstrated the power levels to take these characters on.

Read Galactus. Galactus could take that blast while asleep.

What do you mean "if you believe"? It happened on panel, there's no arguing against it.

I mean accept it as truth.

Spiderman beat Firelord on panel too, is he now a herald level???

Thor and Mjolnir would both be cosmic dust if they tried to absorb a blast that could wipe out any portion of a universe.
