Captain Atom vs. Martian Manhunter
Well, with Apocalypse defeated, Martian Mind is bored. And since he keeps starting shit in our mongoose thread, I thought I'd oblige him. He claims MM can beat Captain Atom. Naturally, there is some contention on this issue. So we did what we always do.
We made a vs. thread.
Captain Atom Vs. Martian Manhunter.
NO LIMITS. Which means anything captain can do is legal, and anything J'onn can do is legal. (Which includes becoming Fernus.) Both fighters are at their highest power levels. Captain Atom's armor is not breachable for this fight.
I'm gonna duck into a foxhole for this one.

Captain Atom at his peak has punked Hal, Apollo, Majestic, Firestorm etc. his energy manipulation is great, his reistance is great and his strenght after being willinly amped beyond the martians punks him. It's a good fight, But Captain Atom, being at peak, doens't job and get's the job done

We were not talking about his ring charge. We were talking about Hal having not slept for 2 days and earlier having trouble with things he'd normally do no problem (like hold up a building).
I thought we had settled that between the two issues there wasn't a predetermined time. So he may have gotten his sleep by the issue. I'm pretty sure the writers didn't intend such a thing.
regardless, this is still a fight between The Manhunter and Atom. Atom's willpower shoud be enough to defeat The Martian. He's writtan to his best in this situation

Yeah ive got to go with Atom.. His immune to psi-attacks, and can amp himself up to Supes level, I dont really see how the Martian can take him out.. MM can phase all he wants but eventually his got to dematerialized to attack Capt. Atom, thats when Omni-blast is of best used..
So Validus, You continue to argue the point of the Hal fight. What do you say about this fight? I did happen to pm Batdude since I haven't seen him post in a Captain Atom v.s thread in god knows how long and he agrees with me in this case.
Don't worry about Vally-Wally, Redatom. He agrees that CA would beat MM in a fight. He's said so before. He just hates the fact that Hal actually lost to Captain Atom in a fight. Because that's just SO terrible...

Mind Rape for the win. I really dont' see what powers cap has that can tag a superspeed moving, shape changing, invisible,intangible foe. MM should be virtually impossible to detect. even if you have supersenses, his tp can make you think your seeing things. MM doesn't have to fight Cap to win. He can evade and mind rape Cap.
Okay, Captain Atom can absorb psychic power making it void, and if one tries a mindrape on him, he can transfer energy into their brain f*cking it up (see Armageddon). Atom's energy manipulation and projection is more than J'onn can handle. And unlike Firestorm, Nathaniel can actually transmute organic tissue.
