Thanos vs. Apokolips
inspired by Quanchi.
Darkseid is currently busy and Thanos of titan has turned his attention to Apokolips in his absence.
Can Thanos defeat a planet full of New Gods? All the Apokolips residents (with the exception of Yuga Khan and Orion) are on the planet. (Even Grayven and Kalibak.)
1st rd- No prep.
2nd rd- 1 month of prep
3rd rd- a year of prep

arent most of darkseid s followers mindless poopheads who fall anyone with a sense of direction. most his his planet hated darkseid anways. thanos if he wanted to waste his time occupying some crap planet. hed do it in an afternoon.
he'll put up a good fight on the second round, but ultimatley succumb to a defeat.
on the 3rd round, despite Apokolips prep and provided that YK or DS doesn't show up, thanos become ruler of apokolips.

guys with prep thanos conquers the universe. this is one freaking planet. i mean come on one crappy one. granted they have powerful forces there but without darkseid leading them they are fools led to the slaughter.

I actually agree with this analysis.
But I don't think he could hold it even if did win in rd 3. It's one thing to take over, it's another to be able to hold Apokolips. There's a high possibility that Thanos would be assasinated or that someone would overthrow him.

I agree, because Thanos becomes bored rather easily. He'll let up his guards like so many times before and then.....*sigh*....my poor Thanos. BUT at his most focused and determined, he almost took over marvel, TWICE!!

Edit: I really think he couldn't hold it even if he tried. Apokolips is a logistical nightmare to run. Darkseid does it because he's ungodly powerful and manipulates everyone. He's basically got a cult of personality built around him. Not to mention his own personal power runs the place. He even foments rebellions and puts them down when they get big, just to break the spirit of the people there. Thanos isn't going to go that far. And for that, he won't be able to hold the place.

I feel Thanos and darkseid apply the same logic when it comes to ruling. If DS can come up with it, i'm sure Thanos could as well. Remember Thanos defeated the grandmaster with mind gem; so when it comes to calculative manipulation, Thanos ain't no pushed over.
