Akuma Herald of Galactus vs Thanos
Galactus comes to SF Earth searching for his usual meal. Before he begins to devour...he encounters a particularly strong energy emanating from somewhere. Curious, he summons the source of this energy and Akuma appears.
Fast forwarding a bit...Galan promises Akuma that if he becomes his herald...he will be able to expand his arena and fight the strongest beings in the universe.
Naturally, upon hearing this...Akuma accepts...and is imbued with the power cosmic allowing him to survive the depths of space..and enhancing his body with all the standard herald basics.
For a while...Akuma finds battles on each planet he comes across...and enjoys destroying his enemies with his now cosmic/chi powered fists.
Fast forward a couple of years...and Akuma grows bored. Galactus tells him of a "Thanos"...a being who usually defeats his heralds. Akuma...of course thinking other heralds as weak becuase they are not the trained/developed fighters that he is relishes the idea of destroying this "unbeatable" enemy and goes off to battle....
He finds Thanos and manages to surprise him by masking his cosmic/chi signature and challenges him to battle.
Neither care that the planet they are on is populated..the battle is all.
Akuma is allowed all his techniques..and Thanos is allowed all his that do not involve tech.
Can Akuma defeat the mad titan?
Discuss.

No game characters. We have our precedent already on SF people.
And while I appreciate the attempt at finding a loophole with the herald thing (clever), I'm shutting it down due to possible future misuse of this same tactic.
