I thought there was a difference between the Flash's speed,

and when he enters the Speed Force.

Batman < Gamora (with no prep he goes down against her)

Flash vs. Blackbolt (Not sure what level hes on with no speed Force)

GL Hal > BRB (i think this would be a really good fight, very slight majority to Hal)

Overall good fight.. Onslaught might tip the scales a little in favor of Marvel.

To my knowledge, the SF is what powers Flash, [ie. What gives him his speed/other abilities].

So to say that he cannot tap the SF in this battle, is to render him powerless.

I think maybe Mr. Master just wanted Flash to use speed alone, and no speed force dumping or something like that.

That is all that is required to get an IMP. He says, when an object enters light speed, it gains mass.
